Day 01. Arrival WAINGAPU
Upon arrival meeting services and then visit the nearby villages, such
as Kawangu and Prailiu to comprehend more about the making process of
the well-known Sumba Ikat.

Day 02. EAST SUMBA IKAT EXCURSION
Your whole day program is to visit the Sumba Ikat Weaving centers. Most
of the villages are home of the local Rajas - the highest class in the
society who owns and inherit the Ikat craftsmanship. Each Noble family
has their own design and secret of Ikat making. There are three
well-known Ikat Centers in the island, they are: Pau, Rende and
Kaliuda. The designs from those villages are the ones mostly copied by
the textile factories in Java and Bali.

Day 01. ARRIVAL TAMBOLAKA / WAIKABUBAK
Arrival Tambolaka transfer directly to Waikabubak. Visit beautiful
traditional villages, such as Tarung and Puunaga, surround the town. In
those villages one can have a closer look into the unique high roofed
houses, the stone tombs and even you still can see Andung - the
branched wood pole used to hang the skull of the village enemies after
the inter clan war.
Day 02. WEST SUMBA TOUR

A community village with central of village as main centre of tribe activities
There are many traditional villages in West Sumba. It is worth to visit the villages in Kodi area where the tallest - almost as high as the tall coconut trees - traditional Sumba houses, the home of the Marapu believers. There are virgin white sand beaches. Take you chance to enjoy the nature beauty. Lunch box will be provided.
Day 03. WAIKABUBAK - WAINGAPU
In the morning drive eastward to reach Waingapu, en route stop at
Anakalang where the huge carved stone tombs located. Afternoon visit
three of the most prominent villages in east Sumba - famous for their
uniquely designed hand woven textiles, the Ikat Weaving. Those villages
are Prailiu, Pau and Rende.

Lamalera Fishing Adventure 05D/04N
Day 01. ARRIVAL MAUMERE
drive directly to LARANTUKA
Arrival i.n Maumere drive directly to Larantuka, there are chances to
have photo stops en route, such as in Konga with its beautiful
panoramic view. Overnight in Larantuaka.
Day 02. LARANTUKA - LEWOLEBA - LAMALERA
Early morning take regular boat to Lewoleba, upon arrival transfer to
local restaurant for lunch. Afternoon drive to Lamalera. Overnight at
the homestay.
Day 03. LAMALERA - JOIN THE HUNTING FLEET
Today program includes joining the whale hunting
fleet on Peledang - the very primitive made wooden sailing boat with
palm fiber sail. The fisherman will set sail early in the morning
(about 6 o'clock). They will catch by harpooning
any kind of big eatable sea creatures seen during the day. There is
risk of being wet or half drowned if they do catch swimming animals on
high seas. There will be lunch box provided during the day. If no catch
the fleet will return to the village by about 14.00 PM. Take your spare
time in the afternoon to comprehend more about the daily life of the
people in the village.
Day 04. LAMALERA - LARANTUKA - MAUMERE
Take the last chance to comprhend the daily life of the Lamalera
fishing village and then drive back to Lewoleba to catch the regular
boat to Larantuka. Lunch in Lewoleba. Afternoon sail to Larantuka and
then drive to Maumere
Day 05. DEPARTURE MAUMERE - NEXT DESTINATION
Enjoy the leisure time while waiting for Airport transfer for next
destination. It is advised to bring your own
life fest as there is no such a thing available on Peledang. To bring along your own favorite snacks is
highly recommended due to the uncertainty of sailing time both on
Peledang and motorized boat. Camera box is suggested for the water might
damage your valuable camera during the hunting time.
Hunting Season: Opening Ritual of Hunting Season held on May 1st The season will last till the beginning of August.

Sumba Exploration 05D/04N
Day 01. Arrival.
Meeting service at Bima Airport. Before taking a night boat to Sumba
island enjoy at fantastic half-day city tour covering national Museum
of Bima, Traditional market.
Day 02. Sumba Tour.
Early morning arrive in Sumba seaport. Drive down to Hotel for half-day
leisure. After having lunch laze your self with an excursion with some
visits to the traditional village of Waegoli, Kabba, Parigoli, and
Lamboya. Dinner and stay overnight at hotel
Day 03. Full Day Waikabubak Tour.
Breakfast at hotel. Set out on full day tour to Megalithic tombstone,
traditional village of Ana Balong, Tarung, Tambelar, and Punaga. Lunch
is served en route, dinner and overnight at hotel.
In the afternoon visit Oelolok, the home of the former Raja of Insana.
The area is famous for the ikat and supplementary weaving known as
Sotis, Lotis, and Buna. The women weave sarong under the umbrella
shaped granaries. Lunch will be served en route, dinner and overnight
at hotel.
Day 04. Waikabubak - Waingapu.
Breakfast drive down to to Pau Rayl weaving village and Rende
traditional village. After having lunch proceed the trip to Waingapu.
Dinner and overnight at Sandle Wood Hotel.
Day 05. Departure.
Breakfast at hotel. Enjoy the leisure time while waiting for Airport transfer for next destination.

Sumba In Deep 06D/05N
Day 01. Arrival WAINGAPU
Upon arrival meeting service and transfer to Hotel for lunch. Afternoon
visit the traditional village of Prailiang. It is a beautiful ride
through the savannah of the north coast of Sumba. There are buffaloes,
cows and horses roaming the field. The village is situated on the
hilltop over viewing the valley of Mondu half cut by a river. Short
walk to the village is a must. There are ten traditional houses but
only six of them permanently occupied. Afternoon return to Hotel.tc

Day 02. SUMBA IKAT EXCURSION
"In the morning visit the market of Waingapu and Lambanapu area to see the Ikat Weaving and
then proceed eastwards towards Pau and Rende two of the many villages
well-known for their beautiful Ikats. En route stop at place where Sabu
People produce Palm Sugar out of Palm Wine (during dry season only\:
April to October). Picnic lunch at one of the beach in the area.
Afternoon visit Pau and Rende - the two Royal villages furnished with
huge carved stone tombs and traditional houses. They are also known as

Day 04. KODI EXCURSION
Visit the market (Sumba weekly market, West Sumba: Wednesday and East
Sumba on Saturday). After visiting market drive to Kodi - the area is
known for the tall traditional houses and probably the tallest on the
island. There are plantations of coffee, cashew nut, banana, and
coconut and teak wood forest en route. Arrival Kodi area visit some
villages such as: Ratengaro and Parona Baroro. Picnic lunch at Tossi
beach. Afternoon visit Bondo Kawangu and if possible meet the Pasola

Day 05. MEET the PASOLA PRIEST of LAMBOYA
Early in the morning drive southward and then trek to Sodan - the
village of Rato, the Pasola Priest of Lamboya. It is a walk with
beautiful panoramic views, passing valley cut by a river with rice
fields and roaming buffaloes. After meeting Rato walk down hill till
reach the spot what we called SODAN POINT - from where one will view
the beautiful Sodan valley furnished by villages with traditional
houses soaring from coconut trees and garnished with snake bent
Kadengar river.
Trek along the valley until reach bridge at the other
side and take car to Marossi beach for picnic lunch and get yourself
refreshed by swimming or relaxing on the white sand beach. Afternoon
return to Hotel en route stop at Pasola field of Lamboya."
Day 06. WAIKABUBAK - TAMBOLAKA - NEXT DESTINATION
In the morning transfer to Tambolaka airport to take flight to the next destination.
