Day 01. Arrival WAINGAPU

Upon arrival meeting services and set out on a tour with a visit to the near villages, such as Kawangu and Prailiu to comprehend more about the making process of the well-known Sumba Ikat.

Day 02. EAST SUMBA IKAT EXCURSION

Your whole day trip is to visit the Sumba Ikat Weaving centers. Most of the villages are home of the local Rajas - the highest class in the society who owns and inherit the Ikat craftsmanship. Each Noble family has their own design and secret of Ikat making. There are three well-known Ikat Centers in the island, they are: Pau, Rende and Kaliuda. The designs from those villages are the ones mostly copied by the textile factories in Java and Bali.

Day 03. DEPARTURE WAINGAPU

Breakfast at hotel. The day free at leisure while waiting for Airport transfer to onward the trip. TOUR END.
